On August 2, 2006, Marc Alan Lee was the first Navy Seal to be killed in Iraq. Marc wrote and sent a letter to his mother, Debbie Lee, two weeks before his death. That letter, a testament to Marc’s character, inspired Debbie to start America’s Mighty Warriors (AMW) in order to assist members of America’s military and their families.
Help us help AMW by attending our Kentucky Derby Party/Fundraiser, by having a good time watching the races from Churchill Downs, enjoying southern-style food and drinks, dressing up in your Derby-best, and by donating to America’s Mighty Warriors.
We encourage you to dress like you mean it, putting on your best Derby-inspired attire. For ideas visit: www.kentuckyderby.com/party/fashion
Prizes to be awarded for races, best hats, best attire, etc. Prizes to include:
- Cigars
- Free UPS Shipping
- Coffee
- 139th Kentucky Derby merchandise
Southern-style food will be sold by the Buzznbeez Good Food Truck; think fried chicken, red velvet cake & more.
A special drink menu has been created for this event, including Mint Juleps, the official drink of the Kentucky Derby,
and sweet tea. Some proceeds from selected drinks to benefit America’s Mighty Warriors. This is a cash bar only event.
